The Things Nobody Says Out Loud
A special listener series for Addiction Makes Three The Podcast
As Addiction Makes Three approaches 100 episodes, I wanted to do something a little different.
Instead of hearing from me... I'd love to hear from you.
Because over the last 100 episodes, one thing has become very clear:
So many people impacted by a loved one's addiction are carrying thoughts, feelings and experiences they rarely say out loud.
The things they think at 2am.
The things they don't tell their friends.
The things they wonder if anyone else feels too.
And if there's one thing I know, it's this:
You are definitely not the only one.
I'd love you to answer one of these questions:
π What do you wish more people knew about loving someone with addiction?
π When you look back, how has addiction changed you?
π What do you want more of in your life now?
There are no wrong answers.
You don't need to tell your whole story.
You don't need to have it all figured out.
Just share whatever comes to mind.
Your voice note can be 30 seconds or 3 minutes.

Some voice notes may be featured in a future episode of Addiction Makes Three.
Not sure what to say?
You could start with:
ποΈ "What I wish more people knew is..."
ποΈ "Looking back, addiction changed me by..."
ποΈ "What I want more of in my life is..."
One last thing...
If you're feeling nervous about hitting record, I completely understand.
But please know this:
The thing you think is "just your experience" is often the exact thing someone else needs to hear.
Thank you for being here.
And thank you for being part of this community.

One More Thing...
Over the years I've learned that there often comes a moment when we stop asking:
"How do I keep doing this?"
and start asking:
"What do I need?"
If that's where you find yourself right now, I'd love to offer you a friendly chat.
No pressure.
No big decisions.
Just a safe space to talk through what's been happening and what support might look like for you.
You don't need all the answers.
You just need your next best step.
